FAQ

Does Riverview Animal Clinic accept new patients?

Yes! Riverview Animal Clinic welcomes new patients from Clarkston, Lewiston, and communities throughout the LC Valley. Whether your pet needs routine preventive care, has a new health concern, needs a surgery, or you’re simply looking for a veterinary team you can trust, we’d love to meet you and your pet.

Can I book a veterinary appointment online?

Yes. Riverview Animal Clinic offers convenient online booking for many types of veterinary appointments. You can view available appointment times and choose one that works for you without having to call the clinic.

Some urgent, emergency, surgical, or specialized appointments may require speaking directly with our team so we can make sure your pet receives the appropriate care.

Do you offer same day veterinary appointments?

Yes. We offer same day appointments when availability allows and work hard to accommodate pets who become unexpectedly sick or injured. Riverview Animal Clinic provides both routine veterinary care and urgent care for pets throughout Clarkston, Lewiston, and the LC Valley.

If you’re concerned that your pet may be experiencing an emergency, please call us directly rather than waiting for an online appointment.

Does Riverview Animal Clinic provide urgent veterinary care?

Yes. Riverview Animal Clinic provides urgent veterinary care for sick and injured pets in Clarkston, Washington, and serves pet owners throughout Lewiston, Idaho, and the surrounding LC Valley.

Our team regularly evaluates pets with sudden illnesses, injuries, vomiting or diarrhea, wounds, pain, urinary problems, eye problems, and many other concerns that shouldn’t wait for a routine appointment.

If you’re unsure how urgently your pet needs to be seen, please call us.

What should I do if my pet is having an emergency?

If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call Riverview Animal Clinic immediately so our team can help determine the best next step.

Pets experiencing difficulty breathing, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, severe trauma, repeated seizures, inability to urinate, suspected poisoning, severe pain, or a swollen abdomen with repeated unproductive retching may require immediate veterinary attention.

When in doubt, call us. We would rather help you determine how urgently your pet needs care than have you wait with a potentially serious problem.

What symptoms mean my pet should see a veterinarian immediately?

Seek veterinary care promptly if your pet is having difficulty breathing, has collapsed, is experiencing repeated or prolonged seizures, cannot urinate, has suffered significant trauma, has uncontrolled bleeding, may have ingested a toxin, appears to be in severe pain, or has a suddenly enlarged abdomen with repeated attempts to vomit.

This isn’t a complete list of veterinary emergencies. If your pet’s behavior or condition concerns you, contact Riverview Animal Clinic so we can help determine how quickly your pet should be evaluated.
