Dr. Emily Thueson grew up in Southern Idaho and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology while playing collegiate softball at Northwest Nazarene University. After spending three years working in a veterinary clinic in Caldwell, Idaho, she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian at Washington State University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. While in veterinary school, Dr. Thueson fell in love with the Pacific Northwest — not only for its fishing, rafting, hiking, and outdoor beauty, but for the strong sense of community in the area.

Dr. Thueson is especially passionate about preventative medicine, dermatology, surgery, and nutrition. She believes the best veterinary care is proactive, thoughtful, and collaborative. Her goal is not just to treat illness, but to help pets live longer, healthier, and more comfortable lives. She takes pride in clearly explaining options, answering questions thoroughly, and making sure pet owners feel confident and supported in every decision. Whether she’s performing surgery, managing a complex dermatology case, or guiding a family through preventative care, her focus is always on doing what is truly best for the pet in front of her.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Thueson enjoys backpacking, fly fishing, and snowboarding with her husband, Kaden, and their two children. Their home is full of animals — dogs Nova and Canon, cat Miya, horse Paddy, and ten chickens — which means she understands firsthand the deep bond between people and their pets.

Dr. Thueson looks forward to building lasting relationships with families in the community and partnering with you to keep your pet happy, healthy, and thriving for years to come.
