Internal medicine is the name for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of all medical (nonsurgical) conditions, not just those related to internal organs. There are many diseases or conditions that your pet can get and many organ systems that can be affected so medicine covers diseases of the skin, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, intestines, endocrine organs, immune system and many more. That means veterinarians have to know a lot of medicine!

At Riverview Animal Clinic we provide a wide variety of medical diagnostics and treatments and we consult with medicine specialists at Washington State University when necessary. For more information about internal medicine, call us here at Riverview Animal Clinic (509-758-5022).
