Instructions for Surgery:
The day before your pet’s procedure:
- No food after midnight, water should be available at all times!
- Please give your animal all of its usual medications
The day of your pet’s procedure:
- Drop off your pet between 8:00-9:00 AM
- Do NOT feed breakfast
- Give your pets prescribed medication and let us know what was given at drop-off
- For diabetic patients, please give your pet ½ the normal dose of insulin that morning.
- If you have questions about dosing or are not sure if you should give your pet its medications, please give us a call the day before the scheduled procedure so we can advise you.
- Please provide a phone number on the surgery form that we can reach you AT ALL TIMES while your pet is here for surgery. Time sensitive questions can pop up and it is important that we are able to reach you.
