Hospice Care

As with people, animals nearing the end of their life often need special care. That care may include treatment of ongoing disease, improved nutrition, attention to hydration, provision of pain relief, treatment of mental confusion (‘cognitive dysfunction’), and many other factors. At Riverview Animal Clinic we are prepared to help you make your pet comfortable during this difficult time.

For more information on hospice care, please call us at Riverview Animal Clinic (509-758-5022) and for more information on the pending loss of a pet, please visit Washington State’s Pet Loss Helpline by telephone 1-(866) 266-8635 or (509) 335-5704, by e-mail plhl@vetmed.wsu.edu or by visiting their website at http://www.vetmed.wsu.edu/plhl/
